Default Seat Track Bushings

I watched the guy on the internet easily put the tracks in just pinching the small spring . I worked and worked at it and no luck . I got smart and put a small lead in the diameter. It made it easy to start that way and the small taper will hurt nothing.

That's a good suggestion if you indeed are having trouble inserting the spring bushing...

...into the seat track tube.

I serviced and repaired my seats 8 years ago. I got my spring bushings from LIC and they fit perfectly and installed easily. I wonder if the spring bushings now available from vendors are slightly larger in diameter, creating the difficulty you experienced. If so, you have come up with a good solution. Thanks for sharing.
