C2 Corvette Is a Hot Rod From the Old Days
By Brett Foote

There was a time when this C2 was cool but is it still desirable today?

Somebody did a lot of work to transform something beautiful into something horrible.

I admire the amount of work that went into it and that someone had a vision and brought that vision to life.

Default Hell rod

I think maybe that could of been the concept car, then after the meeting of all the stylist & all the ugly was removed the C2 was created & they NEVER looked back…

Last time this thing was called "unique". This time calling it a "Hot Rod" is disingenuous.
IMCO I don't think posting this what ever you want to call it a 3rd time will be "the charm".

Right, please stop popping this abomination to the front page.

It's been for sale several times on ebay, the last I remember it was around 80-90K. If you look closely it has a 348 or a 409, which in itself is awful, and it has rust all over it.

Calling it "Ugly" would be an improvement over what it is.

If i were rich, I would buy it just to crush it and put it out of history forever.

Saab Sonnet was the first thing I thought of.

I agree 100%. Why would you want your Sting Ray to look like a Bricklin or a Saab Sonnet?

I saw an Alfa Monteral. It could be one of those trick images that some see one way and others another.

There's a little bit of Lamborghini Miura-inspired styling in those air inlets rearward of the door glass. I can't say I care for this car though. It needs too much work to be anything.

The article says original drivetrain is still in place? Last time I checked they never put a 348 or 409 in a Corvette.

I am the old days. I cant remember seeing
a oversized Sonnet ,anywhere. Maybe I lived
a sheltered life.
Thank goodness.
