[C2] 383 Stroker

383 Stroker
I'm finally doing it by installing a 383 stroker in my 63' roadster. It will produce 480 hp. Have any of you gone through this ordeal before and can pass on any words of wisdom (do's and don'ts) on this as I move forward thru the project? The rest of the car is factory except for the transmission which is a close ratio Muncie. The differential is 3:36. Thanks for your comments.

You have the right trans and rear end if you do a lot of highway driving if not you may want to switch to a 3.70 rear.

You can run it with the gear you got....can always add more later if need be.
Got a link to which crate it is? 383s are fun....396 even better

Here it is I was off on specs. It has a step nose for late model blocks..id call crower and see about this.
Some drill/tap their old blocks for the retainer plate. Some smart guys over there (old timers) like dealing with Dave.

I have a home built 383 in my '61. Also a 3.36 rear gear. You will not need more gear with the 383....I can start out in third easily with all the torque available. Blueprint has a good reputation, hard to go wrong.
