Default Brake line replacement

I'm replacing all my brake lines and have a pre-bent set and am having a problem getting the front cross over line in place. Anybody have any advice on getting it done? It's a 65 roadster

Default Brake line

If it's a '60. remove the lower fan shroud.

Thanks for the string idea. I'll give it a try. This project started with one leaky caliper and snowballed.

Thanks Yankee, the string trick helped along with some fussing and cussin.
