Default Literature on detailing under hood.

Anyone here know of any good literature on detailing underhood. I will not be pulling the engine but will repaint the inner fenders and possibly the firewall.

Are you looking for NCRS type detailing/correctness info? There are plenty of generic videos on line. You might find something on a Vette. Dennis

Its mostly common sense. There are tips of different paints to use for fenderwells, etc.

Aluminum foil works very well for masking odd shaped things that will not be removed.

Your intake manifold needs to come off if you want it to look super clean, whether you need to clean up the aluminum, or repaint an iron one.

Same with engine brackets and fan blade , personally, i would have them powder coated (and fan shroud it its a metal shroud) an appropriate semi-gloss level.
