What gas tank would you use? Some of the racing supply places sell fuel cells in various dimensions, or maybe even have one fabricated to what you need.

"62 Vette" has the concept that I am looking for. As I understand, using a C-4 rear end, that requires chopping out some of the spare tire well. I can live with that, because this isn't a project where I am looking for 1500 HP and
1 MPG and if i hit my mileage goal, 20 gallons will get me to a point where I can take my required nap, recharge my pacemaker, take my meds, and try to remember where I was going in the first place! I am dealing with only about 8 inches of height, and would prefer the trunk space to be flat. I would make the gas tank out of carbon fiber and fiber glass. If anyone is interested, I have a general description of the build so far, and even got a little ahead of myself because I describe the chassis that I haven't even built yet. The goal is to finish the project while I am still on the right side of the flowerbed. My other C-1 is a 56, and that story can be found on the internet:
Allan (Bunky) Garonzik 1956 Corvette. I will try to add pictures of the current build it I can find a 12 year old to help me.

I had a "resto mod" in the shop and that was my plan
I had a place that was going to build me a round tank that would fit in the spare tire well and the tire board would go over the top
I think it would hold 12 gallons he said

morly1963, Thanks for the shout out on the 1956 Vette. Speaking of NERDS, that wimpy guy in the photo with the motorcycle was my best friend since kindergarten. I was 15 there, and a Dork myself. My friend Larry, a few years later, started a little hamburger joint called Chili's. Now about 1500 stores., but before that, and at 17 he was married, and our neighbor, and his father in law, gave him a brand new Cobra. Pretty cool for a teenager! BTW, the neighbor won LaMons in 1957--the first American to do so.---Carroll Shelby
