What about thrust?
The toes could be good but a bad thrust angle could cause a pull to one side, I think.

Another subscribed thread for my "library"!

Frankie, looking forward to hearing how she handles after the alignment.

Any competent alignment guy will check air pressure in tires, compensate the heads, do a caster cut, and then look up at the screen and read the numbers. The first thing he looks at is rear axle thrust angle, as it will affect the entire alignment, and if severe enough, must be fixed before an alignment can even be performed. BTDT many times with shifted spring perches, bent tubes, bent frames, you name it. Once the rear end is square to the chassis, in a C2's case, the rear alignment adjustments can be made, and then the front settings come last. Camber. Caster, Toe is the sequence. Good point on the thrust angle!

Alignment went well, pretty much in synch with Leif's post #2 but with the caster backed off a bit...
All the work in the rear didn't change the toe in much but the camber was WAY off and that's corrected now.

Car handles nicely now - so another milestone behind me.

Saw one bad wreck (3 cop cars 2 ambulances) on the way to the alignment shop and another on the way home (2 cops 1 ambulance). Bright, sunny day and straight roads in each case. Getting so I hate to drive any of my cars around here lately.

While I had the spare tire tub out I finally sanded out the scratches (look like bear claw attack) in the lid that have bugged me since I've owned the car!

What thrust angle did you wind up with?

Everything is super close to Leif's post #2 except "manual steering"" caster which was backed off to about 1.0. With the trailing arms COMPLETELY rebuilt by Van Steel (including spindles) the toe-in needed no adjustment - apparently preserving the shim packs and replacing them as you found them is pretty good advice.

I COMPLETELY blew the rear camber settings using the popular straight-edge gnment bay so I let the "kid" do it that prepped the cars for suspension work. Damn guy "smoked" the clutch a bit on the ramps and I could smell it but no damage. Lesson learned, shoulda had the wife do it.

The alignment guy (recommended by Mike Coletta) was all over the car and did a check on my rear-end work and then dialed things in - he was super careful around the paint. Good to know there are still some guys around with skills and attitude.

If nothing is bent and his rear adjustments are in spec, his thrust angle should be at or near zero. If the car doesn't pull to one side or the other, it likely is.
