Default Headlight Motor Restoration

I am restoring a 66 roadster and would like to know of a reputable company that does quality work at a fair price that can restore my electric headlight retractor motors. My motors are date coded and original to my car. I want them restored not just rebuilt. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had mine done by Corvette Specialties of Maryland. They moved to Palm Springs in CA a few years ago. They do quality work. Jerry

I did it myself in just a couple hours. It was embarrassingly easy for the money they charge.

Jerry, did they do a total restoration on your H/L motors and do yo remember what they charged?

It was so long ago I can't remember what they charged. I know one needed to be welded. At the time, the rebuild price was reasonable. Jerry

It’s a pleasant Sat job with good repro parts around and only a couple of gotchas to watch out for and detailed guides available here.

If you are located close to Chicago, my suggestion would be Restoration Service in Midlothian (south suburb). Steve did a great job on my wiper motor and know he also does headlight motor restoration.
