THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE RESPONSE..
Chalie
Please keep me in mind on the steering wheel, I’m trying to get more red in my 65 silver coupe (All black interior currently).
Thanks again

Thanks! I hope your right, we are very happy with everything. I think it will do well, either way we are so ready for a full week of cars and hanging out with friends, sure have missed that part of the hobby!

Great job!!!

IMO the stance of the car is perfect...... cars that have a horizontal top to the wheel opening, need to have the top of the tire tucked up into the wheel opening like this. The larger wheels allow this, without having a tire that looks like a life preserver...... The wheels do not look out of scale on this car...... perfect wheel and tire combination...... make sure you wear the pants with the big pockets to the auction...... I am thinking you are going to be leaving there with a quite a few $$$$$$'s stuffed into them..... but, man..... you are going to be walking away from a beautiful car......
Thank you, we have never hit the stance on our past builds like we did on this one. Everyone uses 18/20 wheels to get the rake, we used 18” front and rear and added a fatter tire on the rear, it couldn’t have worked out better. I hope your right and the car does well, I feel pretty good about it. You don’t have to worry about taking any money home they keep your money for 21 business days then send a check snail mail.

The red just pops and works so well with the more modern interior, we didn’t change the iconic dash and center stack other that omitting the dash speaker and creating a recess for the cell phone complete with wireless charger. The LS Classic “Tri-Power” setup with polished coil box and braided stainless plug wires, we love the classic look with the modern LS power and reliability. The wheels and redline tires look great with perfect stance. We were able to squeeze 12” wide rear wheels. Easley’s Custom Upholstery knocked it out of the park on the interior, very modern but with classic cues worked in.

We will be heading to Barrett-Jackson with it in a couple weeks...
As usual this one checks all the boxes.....with an explanation point! Stunning. Perfect blend of classic and contemporary. Yes you nailed the stance. B-J will be exciting.

Thanks Ken, so far the number of cars should be good for us both looks like less that 20 C1 & C2 Restomods with 6 split window cars.

Looking forward to auction week.

Biggest stress now is waiting for the car to get picked up and delivered in time.

What seat frames did you use? I used the procar ones, which are simple since they come with the foam, but may look a little out of place in the old cars. I'm doing a SWC this year and don't want a high back seat, so may try using original frames and custom foam.

We used a modern car seat frame with manual tracks and recline, I'm not certain these may have been from a Camry, we have also used Miata seats. Our Interior guy likes to sculpt his own and modify these were cut down so they resemble a factory low back, he also builds a recessed hard back on the seats, very clean setup. He also switched the seats L & R so that the recline lever is hidden beside the console to leave the door side clean. The downside to the original frames is no recline, and that helps quite a bit with taller drivers, they looks so awesome with the chrome trim on the sides.

We were a little late to submit for the Auction, but we ended up with a decent Lot #1428 Saturday night, I would have liked for it to be about 20-30 cars earlier, We also are taking a super nice 36k mile original ’84 C10 truck that we worked our magic on, 100% original paint just sanded and buffed zero touch up, it’s Thursday Lot #684.1

I hope the seller was happy but I would bet if the car crossed the block earlier in the day, it would have brought 300K plus. I think it was the most striking resto mod of all of them at the sale.

Thanks guys, Ken and I were way too late both cars were head and shoulders above some of the earlier cars that brought more money. All that being said I’m very happy with the sale, we had an amazing week, we hung out with Ron Meis, he’s such a great guy, with loads of stories, Rick *** & Dave Kindig. Lou Santiago stopped by and was very entertaining. Saturday morning Kevin Hart and his crew filmed and looked at our car, we’ll see if it make the show.

Best of all Saturday morning I met John Staluppi, if you’ve watched many of the auctions you will know who he is. He was looking for a Restomod Vette for his wife and wanted a automatic, so I told him if you get it I’ll take it home swap the trans and deliver to Miami. He offered to show us his collection and take us out on his yacht, not sure if that will happen but nice to have the contact. Even better, John had to leave the auction early and had Dale with Rick Hendrick bid on the car, also a good contact.

We also picked up (2) Vette builds from the car and a very cool build on an International Travelall Restomod on Roadster Shop Chassis with an LT4 for the buyer of our C10. A week full of friends and cars, was just what we needed.
