Have a 1964 convertible very late production (July of 64)
All original car taking it apart because of frame rusting
the passenger side pull date is stenciled with a date that is confusing per manuals
Any information would be great

typically they would have a supplier part number, GM part number and lot number. I cant read the first stamping .. and they were stamped upside down and the month/day may be reversed. someone with a 64 NCRS will chime in here shortly

yes, I can help.
We have not yet settled on the meaning of the first digit, in your case 1. I believe it is shift number. I have seen several 64 frames still wearing original markings, including my own.
All have painted on stenciled date like yours, with the first digit 1 or 2, followed by Month, then Day. Your date 6- 25(?) fits well with early July build.
Mine is 1 1 20 which works well with my Jan 24 build date.

Our very early (VIN 347) '64 had a similar frame pull date stencil. The stencil read 2-9-5. Our car was built early in September of '63, so the 9-5 date aligned with the build date. I also assumed the first number related to the shift number since every stenciled date I've seen started with 1 or 2, followed by numbers that coincided with the car's build date.

I have a late 64 as well with this exact number on the frame (see pics). I decoded it with the help of a Master NCRS Judge... It stands for the 25th day of June, first shift (when the frame was made). This stamping allowed GM to be able to identify the exact shift and day of production for that year in case there was a defect starting in the production, or a mistake was being made on the line (welding or otherwise). Seems our vettes frames were born the same day! Mine is for a 4spd coupe.

Took me years to find this answer to the mystery stamping, so glad to be able to pass it along. Could not find it in any corvette book; most pictures show hand drawn dates. I had to make my own stencil but you may be able to custom order one From Quanta Products. They do driveshaft, frame, and other stencils. Good luck!
