Default A26 first flight, engine startup to parking after flight

My cousin took these 7 videos, which is exactly what I originally planned to do. But our pilot "voluntold" me to be on the flight as flight engineer/crew chief. So I reluctantly agreed.
After 21yrs of restoration, the flight resulted in perfection!!! We came back and made one tiny adjustment and flew again for about 1hr.
Turn up the volume.

We did a hi-speed taxi first just to check everything and make sure everything was good to go.

Love it! First flights go beyond exhilarating..... fear, excitement, anticipation.... Huge moment inside the plane and to those outside. Thanks for these.

Now that is a photo worth keeping. Enjoyed watching your groups restoration accomplishment take to the sky once again thanks for posting the videos BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT (that's a DZAUTO BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT) where was the music, don't these videos require music.

Now that I have your heart rate up as well as blood pressure please know I am kidding. Adding music would have severely diminished the quality of your video. I remember you commenting in the past about people adding music to accompany videos of these old birds in flight and I agree. I want to hear that mechanical power. I went to IWM Duxford, England airshow on 21 Sep 2019. The weather was perfect, blue skies, no clouds, very slight breeze and comfortable temp. The downside was the non stop commentary and added music over a marginal sound system really took some of the joy out of the show for me. My wife and I spent the entire day at the museums, the airshow lasted 5 1/2 hours. Here is a short video (7:30) I took while at the IWM show, maybe you folks who like the warbirds will enjoy it some. The audio is not the best. The camera operator (me) somehow managed to screw up the audio setting as well as the video aspect ratio.

Great stuff, I know how proud your team must be. Most people have no idea how much work is involved in getting one of these great machines back in the air. A few years ago, I got my A&P mechanics licenses. When I went to the FAA to have my practical experience signed off, they were shocked to see that all of my experience was on P51's and AT6's. They even made me wait while they had a meeting to decide if working on warbirds met their requirements. In the end, they decided that I was OK, but they told me to get some experience on real airplanes. I just walked out smiling at the fact that the FAA still had no idea about what it takes to restore an old airplane from the ground up. Good luck with the A26 and keep the pictures coming.

Fortunately, during the 21yrs of restoration, our FAA guy came out TWICE. In short, he basically saw what we were doing, what we had done and what it took to get 8 bazillion pieces back together so that it would fly. He had no reason to think we would not have it restored to perfection.
