How 'bout some "Trash to Treasure " Photos
I thought it would be Cool to have the members share photos of their cars before and after they upgraded or restored their favorite rides. It does not have to be a Corvette....anything you would like to share..."Before and After"...
Let's have fun with this one !!!!!!

I'll loosely interpret your "It does not have to be a Corvette" and post these trash to treasure pictures. Some of you have seen these before. They are automotive related after all...
That's a Rotary Lift, manufactured in 1928.
Control cabinet for the 1928 Rotary Lift.
Those are all of an old automotive repair shop, originally built in the late 1930's. It was essentially abandoned for over 25 years when I restored 2005-06. Labor of love.

I bought a 65 300 Horse Coupe back in '85. I like stock looking and modified Vettes so to me the flares were a nice touch. Thought I'd strip off the paint and reshoot it with Lacquer Nassau Blue. Little did I realize how much Bondo there was on the car. A hell of a learning curve. It looked like someone cut the original fenders with a chainsaw. I call my 65 Coupe 'Frank', which is short for 'Frankenstein', since it's made up of oh so many parts from various cars. The 'Only' thing that's original on this car and the only thing I didn't have to rebuild was oddly, the engine.

Really?!?! I will. I asked him if he’d mind if I used his wheel choice (love them). He said sure. Then I asked what he did to use them.... oh.... That car calls me when I visit.

Your buddy Jim has some real talent to put that tub back on the road and make it look like that.

The only credit I take is digging the tub out of a fence row where it had been laying fo twenty years and hauling it to Carlisle to sell to Jim.
His buddy(forgot his name) bought a KO wheel from me. He owned a KFC in Sheffield, Al. I used to go fishing there 3-4 times a year On Pickwick Lake. He told me to stop by next time I was in the area and he'd give me a bucket of chicken livers.. A few months later, I showed up banging on his looking for my livers. He obliged but was out of livers and I had to settle for a bucket of Gizzards.
Good people. True story.
