Default 1965 trip odometer routing question

I don't understand the trip odometer cable routing. I haven't found any photos to help me. Does the cable exit the back of the speedo and go through the hole in the Z bar? Does it then go through the hole at the top of the clutch/brake bracket?
Thanks Brian

Thanks for sending that article. It unfortunately didn't help with my routing question. Too bad the pictures weren't there.

On my car the reset cable has been hanging loose tucked away for 35 years. I have tried routing it every which way but always end up with a cable that become inop because of the severe turns it has to make to get installed into the bracket. Unfortunately I have not seen any tutorials or pictures that help with this here or anywhere else.

Thanks Mike. Can you tell me if the cable drops down through the hole in the brake pedal assembly before looping back down to where it attaches to the bracket by the steering column?

Going by memory, I would say yes it does.

Another shot ('67) for what it's worth.
