Oil overfill!
I know that you can get by with a little over fill but is this too
much over fill of the oil? I have a 05 Silverado Z71 that I keep at our summer cabin. I do not have the facility to change my oil here so I have to rely on a oil changing place to change my oil. I was happy with the Jiffy lube place until the last oil change when I got hit with a hard sell on items that needed to be replaced according to them. Would like to hear some recommendations on if some oil needs to be removed before going back for the last time there! Thanks in advance!

I would run it as shown.............but would not recommend adding more.

EDIT: Last time I used Jiffy Lube or equivalent the young tech rounded off the oil pan drain plug and tried to grease the disc brake bleeder connections. That did it for me.

I would assume you are about 1 qt+ over filled.........Dumping a qt can be messy.....I would loosen the fill plug and control dump an estimated qt+ into a clean bucket, with a chance of returning a portion back into the engine.

It's about a quart over, which is too much. It needs to be drained to the proper level. Overfill at this level is not good on these engines.....you're looking at possible cavitation and oil leaks, etc. Take it back and make them account for their sloppy work.

Yes, take it back and have them drain some, to get it back at the correct level.
There are suction pumps & kits (power by an electric drill), that will suck some of the oil out the dip stick tube. Or you can use a Mityvac to suck it out the dip stick tube, assuming you have the kit with the sealed canister (for vacuum bleeding brakes, etc.), but a quart is going to take a while to suck out with those small canisters.
I have a large pickle glass jar with fittings I attached to the lid (holds about 1-1/2 gallon), that I used to suck most of the motor oil out my boat engine, since the drain was on the bottom of the pan, and it was only about an inch from the bilge. Made oil changes a little less messy, but it certainly did not suck it all out....

For many many years I ran my old hot rods 1 qt over on purpose to ensure adequate oil during a 1/4 mile race. Never had any issue over many many years.
My 2011 Corvette GS (wet sump) runs about 1/2 to 1 quart over if I fill per GM instructions. So far no issues after 7 years.
But I understand your reasoning and advice.

orca1946, you are on the wrong page. You need to go to the C7 page! Dennis

The main thing that too much oil can do, is get aerated and frothed up which will affect oil pressure. I somehow managed to do this once in a GTO with a mechanical oil gauge and running down the road the fluctuations in the oil pressure gauge were very apparent. I doubt a quart over will result in a problem but if you see oil pressure acting erratic then it probably is. Of course that’s dependent upon the car having a good direct reading mechanical or sending unit oil pressure gauge, which an old Corvette has.

HOPEFULLY after THREE years the OP has resolved this..........

Yeah, I would guess he’s changed oil by now.
