Replacement for KYB shocks on my 64 Vert
CAN ANYONE GIVE A REVIEW OF THE AC DELCO GAS SHOCKS ON A C2 ?
The KYB's on my 64 are 20 years old, so I want to replace them. I am considering the AC Delco gas shocks or the Bilstein's. The car won't be raced, obviously, but occasionally pushed a little. The car currently has the 1 1/8 sway bar, F41 springs (they may come out) and 225x60x15 radials on 8 inch wide American's. The car handles pretty well, turns in and points quickly but a bit too stiff. Thinking a new set of AC's and put the stock spring back in might give me what I am looking for. In addition the 383 is coming out and a 400 HP version of the original 327 going back in.

Nice Corvette! From your post, if you are going to replace shocks, I'd go with stock replacements. I put Delco Gas filled on my 61. And Bilsteins on my C6Z modified which I track for fun. So I'm familiar with both..........I like your plan!

I put Bilstein HDs on all four corners of both of my coupes. They are a little firmer than the Delcos or KYBs. The set on my 68 are over 20 years old and are as good as new. Jerry
