65 knock off spinner nut will not move
Just how much hammering and how hard a blow will aftermarket knock off wheels take. Dont want to get so aggressive I damage the spinner or other parts. Anyone have a way to remove a stubborn knock off wheel. Left side remove in CCW direction. These are not 67 wheels. Thanks

** You cannot whack girly-man style. Put a fender protector above the wheel well if you are squeamish but you have to whack it and whack it good. It is not uncommon for the last guy to have been overcautious and over done it. That's likely your issue.

If you need new pins, go to the hardware store and buy a 12 inch 3/16 aluminum rod for a $1.29 and you will get a dozen pins out of it. Or you can pay one of the supply houses 10 dollars for 4 or 5 pins.

You know that's odd, because I've been reading on the forum for years those pins don't do anything.

That was sarcasm, you don't need to educate me.

Just had my drivers side front off to put in a new battery on our '65. God, I hate changing batteries....having to remove the wheel, then take out the access panel from the inner fender well, drag out the battery then reverse. The bolt on/pin system does work well though. Much safer than a regular and real knockoff.

My only suggestion on the battery replacement is to get a big block. It is still a challenge, but you don't need to remove a wheel...... a helper is always nice though.....

🤪. I suffered this bad way to learn about the little pins on my newly acquired Vette with bolt on knockoffs! I actually sheared several of the bolts that hold on the adapter. Those pins are tough.

Perhaps a glimpse at the instructions prior to swinging a hammer might be helpful?
