Hmmmm..... like it's deja vu all over again:

That's the 702 cu in GMC Twin Six, one block, four cylinder heads.

A friend has a company that builds Hemi's. He put together a 900 c.i. Hemi. It looks like a 426 but larger.

I clearly remember those V12 Jimmy engines.
As far as I know, they only went into BIG trucks. Near where I used to live, there was an oil field related company that had 2 trucks with that engine. And they had (hard to recall exactly) some kind of V12 emblem on the sides of the truck.

Found one.

I'm thoroughly charmed by that twin six. Even though it has a reputation for not being a good performer, I'd love to have one in..... something.

I'd settle for this:

Now tell the truth.... doesn't that look better than an LS engine?

Hmmm. 2 LS7s stuck together for $100,000, or I could have 6 1/2 LS7s. Let me think which would I rather have. Or another way to word it, 900 horse power vs 3,000 hp.

You are right on that engine, but this ONE could work with proper engineering.

I haven't built a car in a long time. But this is getting my juices flowing.
Would do it in a SRIII frame for a midyear.
I enjoyed working with Mike Stockdale last time (2010)

PS I wanted to use the Harrop setup last lime, but they didn't have a LS7 setup available.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but I used to drive a Coca Cola delivery route in my young years. My regular truck was a '64 6000 series Chevy with a 327 in it.. When it would go in for routine maintenance, they load me up with a GMC with half this engine, a V-6, What a dog. My route went out in the country, up and down a lot of hills. The 327 would run off from this pig.

This basic gas engine evolved in to the Infamous Toro Flow Diesel engine. Trouble prone, no power, didn't last but a couple of years in production. Kinda' like the Oldsmobile diesel.

GM has wasted a lot of development money over the years with bad designs.

Not sure who's bubble you are bursting, Mike. Explain, please. My bubble seems to be intact.
