Need more information. Are you looking to store a car on a lift or are you looking to use it to service the car? Bendpak is an established commercial lift company that produces quality products.

I bought a Bend Pac four poster about 10 years ago. I added a Jack Tray, aluminum ramps and castors to move the lift around. It also came with a number of drip trays. It is by far the best tool I ever purchased. I set mine up for 220 volts. You will also need a source for compressed air as that is how the Bend Pac controls the safety locks. Good luck. Jerry

If you are looking to work on/ lift your 65 coupe for rear end, front end, wheels, brake and tire work. I have a 6,000 lb. BendPak scissor lift I have used for all my Corvettes (65 Coupe Included). MD-6XP. This is a self-Contained lift that sits on the concrete floor and is movable.

This lift might be available.......I use it in conjunction with an Older Kwik-Lift ramp setup that I have had for 20 years....

I didn't buy the Bend Pac lift because it required compressed air (CP) to operate the locks. What if you don't have CP available?
Decided to get a Tall 8,000 lb 'Direct Lift', it has a mechanical lock system.
Park my street car under the black car.
Works very well so far, although it's almost new.
It would be better if there where a way to jack it up using a hand pump. Then you could get the car down in the event of power outage.

I had the same concern, but Mr. Generac took care of that; has paid for itself many times over since it was installed in 2003.

Default Lift

Got a 4 post lift back 2002, always park one vette up & another under. I purchased a Perfect Park with 120V pump to avoid rewiring. Could always use my portable generator if power went out. Have done a complete frame on restoration on the "64" including removing all rear suspension & rebuild, even did a engine & trans pull . Just a little more effort, but you can do most anything on a 4 post plus store an extra car. I have a 9 ft. 0 in. Ceiling also.

I have 11’2” ceilings so height is not a problem. I also have 220 power and air. Want to get this car back together so I can sell it. Thanks guys.

I have a Direct Lift going on five years. Absolutely flawless so far. I have the sliding jack and aluminum ramps. Love it!

You do not need compressed air available beyond one of these, just enough air to operate the locks - just enough protection from accidental or unintentional lowering by the unauthorized and a great safety feature. Something like this, about $59 at Harbor Freight.

i have had this lift for, probably, 4 years. It is great and I have never had a worry regarding the air locks. Its actually a neat feature. Just push a button to unlock them and let the lift down. I guess if the compressor went down, I would just fix/replace it. If you have the funds for a lift, it would seem you would also have the means for an air compressor. Here's what I have and I wish I would have purchased it 10 years ago....

Default Lift

I think anyone that has a lift probably had a good size compressor before they bought a lift , have had both over19 years, question is why do you need to hook up a compressor or need 220V ,when all you need is a 120v outlet to operate?

You are correct in that a cheap small hobby type compressor that plugs into a convenience outlet is all a Bendpak 4 post lift requires. Similarly the lift can be purchased with a 120 V motor for a 20 amp circuit. No reason to install a 240 V circuit. However best practice is to run any motor at the highest voltage available for reasons of wire size and in some cases the speed of lifting. If you had to run a new circuit anyway - or if it is new construction as it was in my case, go 240 V.

I have two lifts a 4 post and a 2 post. The 2 post is far superior. My 2 post is a commercial lift so it is massive but they do make small ones
