62 Master cylinder
Discovered where all my brake fluid has been going. All over the carpet. Going to order an exact reproduction MC and was wondering how to separate the large front screw from the brass block that the brake line attaches to. Trying to keep that original if possible. Where did you buy your master cylinders btw? I've looked at Zips and Paragon.

If you’re talking about the brass block and brake line, you need to use flaired nut wrenches that wrap around the fitting. Hold on the brass also because just the bolt that holds it to the frame will not be enough. They will be very tight.

EBAY has some originals that have been sleeved and rebuilt.

I got the actual brake line off with flared wrench. I'm asking about the large bolt that goes through the brass block that has the 2 brass washers on both sides. The bolt just spins and I'd like to put new washers on before reassembly.
Thank you

That bolt should tighten up. Its going to leak if it’s not tight.
