As for calipers, take a look at the Edge Red. A little more maroon than red. I also went with the edge red engine cover. I should have my car by the end of March.

If you do the Museum Delivery, you not only get to ride around the track in a Track C8, but you also get to drive it, yourself around the track. One of the Delivery incentives. Spirited driving is not allowed,

The below is post I did over on the C8 side about the Rear gearing ratio Std 4.89 Vs Z51's 5.17, and use of 0.00 negative trans gear ratios where only 7th & 8th or overdrive, vs 1.xx trans ratio, where 0.XX ratio's or Overdrive ratios. C8's to gear ratios.
With the help of below RPM/MPH charts gleaned from another Forum, it might help some, as it has me, understand MPH and RPMs engine will be turning at with each rear gear with stock rear gear ratio, along with why the Z51 option ratio is lower.
Also that the ring gear and pinion ratio is 3.55:1, with either final drive ratio.
With 8 gears, an no 1 to 1 ratio like we are used to, what gear is the equivalent to 1/1 ratio, we are we are use to seeing. Easy to tell from Top speed non Z51 equip, vs Z51's.
Effective Rear Gear Ratio in each gear, with 4.89 Rear Gear (STD) equipment vs 5.17 Rear Gear (Z51). Note: I did not round off effective gear ratios to one place.
4.89 Ratio: 1st = 14.14, 2nd = 8.53, 3rd = 5.93, 4th = 4.27, 5th = 3.16, 6th = 2.47, 7th = 1.94, 8th = 1.60
5.17 Ratio: 1st = 15.04, 2nd = 9.09, 3rd = 6.31, 4th = 4.55, 5th = 3.36, 6th = 2.63, 7th = 2.07, 8th = 1.70
Look at MPH difference at 6500 RPMs of 4.86 VS 5.17. Seems to show, at least to me, the effect of the Z51's rear spoilers 400 LBs of rear Down-Force, is reason GM engineering choose to go with the 5.17 rear gear with Z51 PKG.
Both Trims hit the aerodynamic wall in 6th gear, at 6,000 RPMs. But it was an eye opener for me, when I looked at the RPM to MPH differences at 6500 RPM, especially in the first three gears, 2 MPH, 3 MPH & 4 MPH ...LOL
Makes me wonder if GM had just gone with 5.17 rear gear on both, if the Base C8 could have hit 200 or almost 200 MPH. Course there may have been a problem with rear-end lifting, without some rear down-force help.
Also, wonder what the Top Speed of Z51 is with Rear Wing as it has less aero drag, than Spoiler. Maybe GM will let us know at a later date.

I saw and sat in an orange C8 at McCluskey Chev last fall and it's a neat car for sure. May look at one in a couple years but for now I'll stay put with my old C6 and 65. Be interesting to see what kinds of problems crop up with this new car once they get out in circulation. Can't imagine it will be trouble free. Once factory warranty expires and buying a used one would be scary. Wouldn't want to be up for major repairs like the Trans. Of course extended warranties will be available I'm sure.

I should have posted this back in February when I pulled the trigger with Rick Conti of Coughlin Chevrolet.
Flare Silver (Blade Silver in pic), Z51, 2LT, GT2 two tone seats and edge red calibers. Waiting for some feedback on mag ride and front lift from you guys ...... ah old farts.

I'm not THAT old (59), am not into new cars, but THAT is the nicest looking C8 I have seen. Great color combo/stance. Very tastefully done, IMO.

They catch my eye and attention only for a brief moment, not long enough for me to think about it beyond that moment. Dennis

Congrats! I’m so jealous - as a certified Old Fart and C1 Restomod owner. I’m driving my Wife nuts fretting on my allocation numbers and what I might have to change on my C8 Hard Top Convertible I ordered from MacMulkin in December 2020. It will share the garage with my 61 LS6 and my 30 Model A Ford Pickup - (which for the sake of this thread - does have manual Spark advance). They tell me “Summer” delivery.....
2021 HTC Mag Red, Natural Dipped Interior,
Manual spark, mechanical imaginary brakes, top speed 48mph, 0 to 60 ... NA
Hard top Convertible, Red Mist, Natural Dipped Interior. No Z51, Mag Ride, Lift

The good news is; I pick up the car on the 29th at the museum. Doing the complimentary track thing on the 28th

This old fart thinks about it all the time. A friend brought his white C8 by and let me drive it, Oh Baybay! Would love to order one, but will wait till the Hype settles before!

Made some changes along the way: Z51 coupe, 2LT with two tone ar/b GT2 seats, mag ride, front lift with red calibers. Will be bring her home this weekend. FWIW: 70 days between date of allocation and dealership delivery. However, during that time period there were 17+ days when the BGA plant was closed due to part shortages and weather. It was 11 days between production and dealership delivery. However, there two days when the plant was closed and shipping halted b/c of Easter. Despite what you may read else where, Rick Conti was a pleasure to work with. Pics to come.

The blue Sting Ray makes my heart jump...the white sneaker on the right? Not so much. I have no desire for a modern Corvette.
