4speedy ... I installed my 5-spd while the body was off and there were no modifications needed. It is a tight fit but body went on with no interference. I was told I might not be able to use the ash tray and actually haven't checked that out yet but I will now. The only regret I currently have is that I didn't modify the cross-member to make it removable. I think I'll end up regretting that decision. Good luck.

I was referring to the clips that hold the moldings in place. They are held in place with small screws. Once the front and rear glass is in place, you can't put them on. Jerry

Jerry ... after I thought about it I figured out that's what you meant ... calling them pins got me on the wrong wave length. A lot of my clips were rusted out so I got all new clips and screws but good point with doing that soon. Thanks for reminder.

KS69Coupe ... I took a peek at you're profile and that's some sweet looking Vette's you have with the 1966, 1969 and 2001 Coupes. Nice collection. Thanks for the post.

4speedy ... I'd like to see a pic of my car's twin ... feel free to post it on this thread! Thanks

Also I checked out my ash tray clearance and it doesn't hit the transmission. I put some plumbers putty on the bottom of the ash tray and push the ash tray all the way in. The putty was squashed down to 1/8". Keep in mind that 1/8" is with new body mounts and no driving miles to allow for any settling.
