Corbeau seats for modified C2
Folks,
Have any of you used these seats: Corbeau LG1 Racing Seats L25501PR (or something similar) for a C2?
Interested to hear folks perspective on adding this type of seat...dimensions are width: 21" across the front, 19.5"at mid, 20.5" at shoulders...base height is 3.5 inches, base length (front to back) is 22"....and height of back is 33" from bottom to top. I will measure later tonight to see if those would work....because the bottom is flat, should be able to make the stock tracks fit with a little work....they are full leather and about $1250 a pair at Summitt.
Thanks.

I like a more built up bolster! Some of the replica Porsche seats way better!
Corbeau C2 brackets so heavy, you should lighten them, spend a weekend with a drill press!

Cobra "Stuttgart" seats.....
Plenty of bolster. I fabricated brackets to mount them directly to the floor. That gained me roughly an inch of head room and an inch of leg room. If you used the generic sliders on the brackets I made, you'd be right at stock seat height.

Where did you get them?
Did you make detailed drawings of the mounts and the materials & tools needed?

Thanks, I went through Sube Sports....they're a state side distributor for Cobra....which is a British company. I ordered them in the white vinyl, then had the tartan inserts done locally.
These are the brackets. The drop is 1/4 inch in the front, 3/4 in the rear, which gives you a perfectly level mounting base that just barely clears the floors. I then positioned the brackets over the holes in the floors and marked them from the bottom. Nothing in these cars is perfectly square, so giving the exact dimensions of the holes wouldn't do any good. My car is off an eighth from passenger to driver side. After drilling the holes, I welded the nuts in place. The bolts all now come up from the underside of the floor because the seats sit low enough to prevent access to them with the seats installed on the brackets.

Coupe or convertible? It could make a difference as some seats can interfere with the rear deck lid at full extension. Seat backs, head rests, and recline will all make a difference with convertibles, along with where you like the seat.

This is what I put in my 65 coupe. Electric bolsters and inflatable lumbar. Electric front to back and up and down. Made 4 attachments that bolt to the original location and then bolted this seat to the new attachments.
