Adding to the rabbit hole and in support of both Matt and Dad, I haven’t eaten meat in a couple years. I started at the end of 2018 and in January 2019 had my annual physical and full blood analysis. My cholesterol went from 234 to 185 in literally two months with all other metrics well within healthy ranges. Today, at 64, I’m 6’4” and 220, take no drugs and feel great. Anyway, if you want to watch an eye opening documentary, watch Game Changers which I believe is on Netflix.

Thanks for the replies
Did anybody see the Dr that drank olive oil and then looked using a lab microscope?
Reminds me of how a car drives as the fuel filter clogs up. Similar problems with fat.
The fat slows the repair process resulting in numerous potential problems, even cancer.

Default clamp trick works good

you guys ever have a lower rad hose that wants to collapse? using a c2 hose in my 61 looked iffy. in the past i'd make up a coil of stiff wire and put it inside. But, they rust and takes some time to get right. This time i put on 4 ordinary hose clamps and they support the hose in such a way that it can't collapse as you tighten the clamps, hose goes from oval to round.

I also tried this on an "S" fuel hose substitute. tried an ordinary hose that wanted to collapse and the clamps kept it wide open. good in a pinch, not sure about it long term. Apollo 13 crew would love this

i found this problem years ago on race cars that were overhearing. there are hoses with the wire encapsulated into the rubber of the hose

so, i had a NOS C2 rad and i put it in. It was from Ecklers scratch/dent sale 20 yrs ago. paid $25 last day of sale. soldered the leak and it works perfect. had to use a $27 c2 lower hose and a $15 fill cap adapter that goes in the upper hose. cruises at 190 e-fans off, or 185 fans on.
1st rad in 1975 was an almost rotted out c2 aluminum.
2nd around 1980- 61 replacement copper. $295
3rd vw tiny- 2007- 125
4th c2 25 as-is.

PS- if anybody has any health problems, try the McDougall diet for 10 days. About 80% of problems will improve or disappear Once you try delicious real food, you probably won't crave the junk food anymore. I sure don't miss it.
Confirmed by Dr Ornish, who has a similar program approved by Medicare.
If you can't make such a giant step, the Nathan Pritikin diet works too. Can't argue with success! Click on my profile for my before/after blood tests.

When you get through epxperimenting pick up one of those. I think it's Mustang parts or something like that that has the stainless.
thanks for the tip. i did not know there are SS springs. The clamps work good so it is well past the experiment stage.
The fuel hose was just a bench test, so since it didn't get hot, w/fuel, i consider it to be unconfirmed in actual use. It does look good, and i would not want a spring inside since it could restrict power at WOT.

Doug
Be very careful when using the word "incurable".
I've learned that this word is meta-talk for "This Dr. has no knowledge on this topic"
At my worst, i could not pedal my bike even 1/4 mile And it was just my diet! When is the last time a Dr. asked you "what do you eat?"
If everybody ate healthy food, about 80% of Dr's would be UNEMPLOYED. So even if they know about food, they can't afford to lose 80% of their customers.
sending PM.

Default Best of Dr. John Mcdougall

Here is a great summary of how to eat healthy, from way back when our old cars were seen on the road every day:

Default bending hose without kinks

if anybody is confused on how clamps on the outside of a hose prevents kinks, here is a spring sold for use on the OUTSIDE of a hose :
"Bend straight hose into any shape"
https://weldwarehouse.com/cgi-bin/ei...WH:1:605=48530
same principal when clamps are used.
