The resurgence of gassers is exploding in number and FACEBOOK is a great place to hook up with these groups and see some amazing cars. The most recent Good Guys Street Nats in Des Moines over the JUly 4th weekend had a good dose of all kinds of straight axle gassers in attendance.

Couple of my pics

I've talked to a few ppl, one's that build their own car can be competitive around 50-60k, 80-100k I'd built for you in a/gas. I spent several hours talking to Kenneth Phillips that has the Silver Streak II, super nice guy that gave me the heads up on a lot of stuff.

Doesn't get much better than that. I've saw some mid yrs but they just don't work as the org straight Axle.

He has a great looking car and very competitive.

Yep. Someone posted the question on their FB page and got a lot of replies. I follow them on FB, and know a few of them. I enjoyed the race they had at my local strip.

There was another group or some guys they kicked out that several still talk about. I don't know the whole story but some bad blood with the other group.

One of the racers lost his brakes last w/e and crashed into a embankment at the end of the strip. Car went up in flames, totaled, but he is doing good and credits good safety equip. and car build. It was scary. Video clip on FB.

The other group is 3 pedal Gasser's. Someone in that group was talking bad about Sega but I haven't saw it so I don't know.

Just saw where there is a 2 out of 3 between the 2 vettes. And 500 at the moment if Kenneth Phillips can take out Alan in the 62. Sbc vs BBC. Kenneth has been no 1 qualifier at several event's. But when it track cools down that BBC just hauls. There times are 5.5-5.7 @ 125-130. Very respectful. It will be live on the FB page.
