If you are married, better get a buyin from the Mrs. Can you do basic maintenance? Do you have common hand tools? Do you have a garage? If these three are no, be prepared to spend $$$ for services. You could be on a list of names that started with a unappealing color and wind up doing a full body off restoration. After the color, the chrome doesn't look good, then the drive train is suspect, then the worn spot on the carpet, then the gauge cluster looks so, so. On and on it goes. When it's done, then you are afraid to drive it for fear of getting a stone chip. Then the car, sit and sits and sit for long periods of time. Then you don't trust it, so it's a slow death for it. I may be wrong as it is hard to tell from the angle of the photos but the wheel wells look like they have possibly been enlarged. This was sometimes done to accept larger tires. If so you are looking at expensive body work if you want a stock look. Still if solid, $30k would be hard to beat in the US.

There is no such thing as a cheap Vette. you can buy one for way less than a decent car, but by the time you fix what needs fixing and replace what does not work, you'll be right back up there. Some of us enjoy doing the work for the reward and challenge, and if that's the case there are varying degrees of "project cars" which will keep you happily busy. But if you want something you can just jump in and start driving, you'll pay more up front.

I would suggest as others have said,Get the frame bird cage checked and the kick ups in front of the back tires checked for rust. Looking at the engine,if that is the correct 461 winters intake its worth money. The side pipes are worth $2500.You have the original hub caps. What is the redline on the tach to see what hp engine it came with ? Look at the stamp pad and see what the numbers are.Its probably not an original motor but these cars are how old ? If you say 60k is the norm.If all stuff checks out. 30K now and do things as money allows, there is now time limit. There is nothing like driving these old car and let your worries go out the rag top. The Blue is a good looking color. Drive it and do things as money permits and enjoy it.

You said you want an original color. Did you check the trim tag to see what it was painted to start?

If you go for a second look, take pics of the trim tag and the VIN plate (under the glove box) and post them here, there is information that can be obtained from them.

Here's a quick video of the car that I took while I was there.
