Default Is it the fuel pump?

It's a 67, 327/300, automatic and air conditioning. I tried to crank it yesterday with no luck; the carb (Holley Model 3810) isn't squirting any fuel in the venturi. My first thought was that a carb float may be stuck, so I gave it a few sharp rps, but no luck Next I checked the fuel filter, which was clean. I can only conclude a bad fuel pump.

Accelerator pumps don't usually suddenly go bad, Any ideas?

Is there any fuel in the bowls? If not, then I would say it’s the pump.

Did you put gas in the carb and see if it will start?

I added 5 gallons of fuel before I tried to crank it. I checked the fuel filter inside the carb,

Pull the line going to the pump and see if you get fuel. It may have a hole somewhere and sucking air. If its good, check fuel pump arm and see if it came loose. If its good pull line after pump and see if you get anything. If you dont I would think the pump went. Im saying this because you did check for gas when you checked the filter?

Good advice! Yes, it does have fuel; I put in 5 gallons before I tried to crank it.

I am thinking the pump went. There is a pin on the fuel pump that holds the finger that hits the rod . Sometimes that backs out , see if that happened.
