You are easy to spot coming down the highway, also. I can always tell that my GF is behind me, even a mile or so, when she is driving the Ortario Orange '72. I just look for the little orange spot in the rear view mirror.

With all the silver, black, white and other wise drab car colors out there, a bright color like the Sunfire stands out, as it should, on a Corvette..

Sunfire, Goldwood, whatever... until you own a yellow Corvette you can't quite appreciate the enigmatic quality of a color that virtually changes minute by minute. Nothing quite like it.

I'm not sure but I suspect the Mopar yellow in 67/68 had to be the same formulation as the GM yellow. They sure look alike.

There is definitely something about yellow and the way it refracts light. It's difficult to photograph and will change color and sheen as the light changes.

Wasn't the Corvette yellow in 65 called Sunflower? One of my first projects with my 65 was to repaint it and while it was originally a silver, that's not a color I liked so I was considering another 65 color. I like yellows in general but felt the 65 yellow was too pale and around this time the 78 vettes came out and the yellow was really bright so I chose that.. I can no longer remember what it was called but Chrome Yellow comes to mind.

I would never have though of primrose being a soft yellow but apparently so. Leave it to the British. Pretty little car.

The '65 was Goldwood Yellow and it is a little pale (or mine is faded). The only C3 color I could find a paint chip for, in the era you said, was Corvette Bright Yellow.

Bought my '65 Goldwood Yellow in 1988; discovered this wasp nest in 2006; decided to leave it alone -- still there today. Couldn't see it unless the wiper grille removed.

Here's the original GM color chips, after 53 years.

Big fan of Sunfire yellow but no two ever seem to look alike. Was at a show once and there were six cars- all different. Hard to know whats right. Some seemed a little bit to dark almost towards a greenish tint
