Is anyone in the Southern California (Palm Springs) area familiar with this car?
It looks like a pretty nice car for the money. Never-the-less, I'm always a bit suspicious when someone prefaces a list of desirable options with, "It is reportedly one of just 246 examples from 1962 equipped with ..."

C1 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
Yeah, I saw it on the BAT website and questioned the pedigree of the car and know there is no help from the site, if you have a problem. But, I don't trust anyone dealing in corvettes anymore. I would have to see it, touch it, feel it and then still might question it. I hate to be so negative, but my experiences so far fit Obi-wan's statement "you'll never see such a wretched hive of scum and villainy" makes me think he must have been dealing with some corvette sellers and vendors. Just avoided being handed my *ss again and I thought this was a stand up vendor.

From personal experience, it is much easier to be a seller on BaT than a buyer. As the seller, you control the auction and while you have to deal with a few knuckleheads typically, being prepared and staying active in the auction is the key to success. Also, BaT immediately deducts their fee from the winning bidders credit card, so they are much more motivated to complete the deal. I’ve heard stories of idiot buyers trying to renegotiate the deal after the auction or have the seller deduct the BaT fee from the price, but this isn’t widespread.
As a buyer, BaT offers you squat other than a checklist of frankly common sense items to “help you complete the purchase.” Buyer beware and do your homework!

I am not sure he was asking where it was, but rather if anybody knew of aboutthe car?
probably to see if there was any way of verifying if it is now as it was 10-20-30-40 years ago. or if it's a modern conjuration.
