Default Looked at the 67 435hp today

I finally got to look at the 67 today.
Are these carburetors correct and does the build sheet look original? Does the underside of the hood look correct?
It has a bad cam, needs a radiator and some TLC under the hood. It also looks like someone made the carb. linkage.

Looks like the carbs were converted from vacuum to mechanical linkage.

The vacuum pods are there which is a good thing but the throttle linkage appears to be converted to mechanical.

Converted to mechanical secondaries. Cool job on the linkage.

We need to see more of the tank sheet, if there is any. Based on what you are showing of it, there is nothing to indicate it is a copy.

Did a dealer search on the tank sticker, and came back to California which would explain the air injector smog stuff on the sticker, if you run the NCRS report on it should "confirm" the dealer codes "if" the sticker is legitimate.

1971 dated carbs, pins that hold emblems on the hood way too long.

Thanks for all the responses. I am about to get on a cruise ship for two weeks and I will make an offer when I get back.
He wants to get 100K but that ain't going to happen. I will throw out a 65 K offer and see what happens.

But if not done correctly can have catastrophic results. If not set up and adjusted properly when matting the gas pedal the "dumpers" can stick wide open because the linkage does not return.
I saw the consequences twice back in the late '60's and early '70's. 1st was a '69 435 coupe that was totaled (yes totaled) because when the linkage for the "dumpers" stuck wide open the driver stepped on the clutch and let the motor rev till it exploded. The other was a '67 435 convertible that the "dumpers" stuck wide open and the driver was smart enough to shut the key so it only flipped the belts and spit out some coolant.

Don't mean to insult or knock the car, but you asked...

427 emblem studs are way to long and do not have the black gum they are supposed to. Emblems likely repro
The hood insert appears to be a repro
Radiator cap is wrong
Bolt ons are repro
Carb linkage is wrong
All the carbs are wrong (date code should be Year, Month, Week)
Valve cover on passenger side is repro
Oil cap is repro
Intake vac setup is not factory

BTW, just my humble opinion, but $100K for a correct '67 L 71 seems a little inexpensive to me.

Thanks for all the responses. I am on a cruise ship now and when I get home I will shoot him a cash offer and see what happens. He might not know all the things that has been mentioned here but I will enlighten him.
I don't need another car but I would make an exception for this one!
