Default Pick it apart

to me this is exactly what I would want in a mid year I love the color combo and the 427 with pipes.

Now with that being said I don’t have 89k to drop but was curious as to what you guys would value this car at?

ive been chasing a nom 66 bb and it was a 390 car, pipes but a dark blue interior.

What can you say? It’s a good looking car. If it’s real the price is reasonable IMO.

I agree with Frankie. If it’s legit, buy it.

I dunno. The last time I mentioned things in the engine compartment that were incorrect, the owner got mad. LOL Nice looking car though.

If it was black it'd be worth $189,900 ? Right ?
At least that's what I've been told...

That is true.

But it's a good looking car even if it's not a Vette.

Shouldn't have a ballast resistor, but that sure looks like one.

That's just one of several issues. It would be nice to see the engine pad.

That seems low if it's a real 427/425 car and restored. Presently finishing a real L72 in red just like that and I'm in way over 89K including purchase. I've seen "aged", real '66 L72s in that ballpark, restored like that in 6 figures. Seems too good to be true.

I recently spent a full day as a Mechanical Team Judge for 2 1966 425HP cars. I'm thinking that if this was a "real" original engine car, they would be posting the required pics. for all to see.

I fall asleep dreaming about this car!
But seriously, I have a 66 big block 390 HP and it has a resistor. I thought all points systems have to have voltage reduced to 9 volts for the life of the points. Is the - no resistor- because of the transistorized ignition? I thought T I was an option on L 72 not part of the package. Please clarify, I'm just trying to understand.

T.I. was mandatory with the L-72 option, so no ballast resistor.

That's a looker for sure. If the pad looked good, I'd hit it.

That is one eye catching '66 BB convertible for sure. A serious buyer might be more comfortable having Pancho check it out.

Is that a Harrison aluminum radiator sticker on a big block radiator?

Pretty simple - if its a real car with correctable issues it could be a bargain -- I agree price is low for that....
If its a "tribute" (fake) then the price is high; if you want it in spite of that -- then you negotiate...

This is a dealer folks and that price is the "asking" price.....if you pay that then I have a bridge for sale....
In any case -- a physical inspection is mandatory.
