Hey folks, I'd appreciate any thoughts you care to share.
What would a "good buy" look like for this car?https://www.flemingsultimategarage.c...s3-pro-touring
Thanks

Check out one of our members Silver 1967 Resto Mod thats for sale due to health issue. If I recall it was also built by another member? Read ALL the comments. Notice the interior and chassis...
You be the judge...
As mentioned above, notice no CHASSIS pictures and what's up with a sales video of the pavement....
Just my 3 cents

Also want to check those rear tires and see where they might impact the fenders. From the photo they appear to stick out....if the rear tires have excessive camber you will get uneven tire wear and the look of a saggy rear end in the car. However this is one way to clear the inner lip of the fender...tilting the top of the tire in....have you gone to inspect this car in person? You should have a knowledgeable mid year Corvette person do the inspection with you. For this kind of money the extra cost is cheap.

I would check what the insurance guys will value the car. Those insurance companies seem to dictate what "OUR CARS" are worth. Do not always agree with them, since paying out money is not what car insurance companies like to do. Would not want to pay $125,00 + for"any classic" and the car insurance guys says it's only worth $100,000 or less.

I used to have Haggerty but they increased the premium for our 37 Ford with the flame paint job fearing if there was an issue they would have to paint the entire car. We never had a classic car claim so we went over to Grundy and saved money doing so.
Again in our insurance is for stated value. I’m sure if I wanted to insure one of the cars for $500k or a $1m they might just want to come see in person what they were insuring and then they might want to make sure it was worth that. But since I don’t have any cars like that, I have nothing to worry about.

Turns out the undercarriage and suspension has been upgraded....
“As we discussed the car started as an original numbers matching coupe, the only thing still original about the car is the body, the steering wheel, seats and the dash. The body was lifted from the original frame, stripped and refinished. They did not have to do any body work to the car or replace anything which shows how nice the car was to start. The car was put back together with all new everything, the interior was sound proofed with dynamat and they doubled up to help buffer the noise.
Tremec 6 speed, brand new crate GM performance LS3 525 hp V8, aluminum radiator, ac, all new wiring harness, etc.
here are some underside photos as promised as the car is on the lift getting the underside cleaned. ”

With an upgrade suspension, but sounds like original chassis.....$95-105k....have you seen the car in person? You need to drive it and test everything out.....again, you need to have a knowledgeable C2 person inspect the car....more than one car has had lipstick put on a pig....not saying this is one of those cars, but when it comes to used cars, trust no one!

Wouldn’t a me crate ls3 be 430 horse? I think there is some “salesmanship” at play.
Also, if it was sporting a modern frame they would be talking about it (at least I would!).
Nice looking car though.

I like the car!! Out of my price range but it seems like it could be built for much less that the asking price. Pretty much bolt on parts, nothing over the top. I had rather tell someone if I had the money what I want than settle for his idea of a great car.
