Default So, you are retired. What did you do today with your C1 or C2 ?

Retired Sept 2018 and moved to Phoenix. Started out to upgrade my A/C to Vintage Air, add a Tremec 600 and Sniper FI. Came across a "deal" on an LS3 and went nuts. Still working out some bugs: Borgson PS cavitates, and the electric power brake booster doesn't completely release the brakes. Plus we came up with a novel "cold air" induction for the LS3 that seems to work well. I kept the stock 2.5" under car exhaust and am very happy with the results. Not sure what's up with the PS, as the pump has an integral reservoir. Working with the manufacturer on the PB system (frame mounted electric pump). Now I have to decide what to do with the "spare" parts.

Original intake setup

What came out original 327/300, PB, PS M21 tranny etc

Dakota Instruments, and yes an original Teak wheel with tele-column

Trying to make a cold air induction with large curves and 4 inches of straight pipe for the sensor

The filter is on the far end behind the wheel well.

I like how you are doing the cold air intake. The original K n N filter first shown had a problem when a heavy rain occurred . Not that you plan to drive in the rain, but ''life'' happens. Engines injected water and that is not good.

Cool and wet here in central Ohio, so I enjoyed a bourbon with the sweet silver in the garage. May have another one.

Default seat belts

Installed seat belt sleeves and retractors on the '66 that have been missing for 22 years.

Had a drink. Fixed the Front RH turn signal (wire out off connector under steering column).
Drink
Since I was there, I took out both parking lamps and cleaned/polished all the parts.
Drink
Installed new gaskets in the park lamp assemblies since all the body seals/gaskets need replacing when I get around to them.
Drink
Got her ready for a drive... started raining
See paragraphs two, four and six above and repeat as necessary

Took about a 3 hour drive to, through, and home from Letchworth State Park. Perfect sunny warm fall day. Car ran perfectly. Hate to have to put it away soon.

Jim, sounds like you speak from experience. I May add a "mod" with an aluminum shield that wraps 2/3's around the filter, covering the bottom .

Today on my 65 I finished installing and aligning the exhaust, started reinstalling the dash and glove box and started to pull the frame on my 72.

Finished up vintage air install on my 62. I’m real please with the cold and hot air it puts out.

Looks nice and clean. What obstacles did you run into on the install that the kit didn't address?

we didn’t run into to many obstacles other than its tight under the dash. I’m going to tweak my expansion tank a little bit more. While I was under the dash I swap all the dash bulbs for leds.
