Home from Arizona. We're getting a few spring days in-between some rain. Took everyone off the jack stands, removed the covers and put a little charge in the batteries before hooking them up. Took everyone outside to get some sun and pictures. The Mini and 911 got a 20 mile run but the Hem/Vette has some tinkering I need to finish before I take her out for a run to stretch her legs.

Some retirement days are better than others and this one has certainly been a tough one! I had to say goodbye to my number one pup this morning. It's always tough to do but man was this ever a hard one since he has been such an exceptional friend during the last 13 1/2 years! I just hope he knows how much he's going to be missed.

Sorry for no photo of a C1/C2...I hope a fun Defender will be sufficient!

So sad, I know how it feels.

I had to put my terrific hunting dog and friend Drake down just two months into my retirement.

Thanks. I remember that adorable face on your dog from a previous post...He was super cute! Mine (Chance) was diagnosed with Addison's Disease just 2 months into mine...I was very fortunate to have a great Vet who diagnosed it quickly and treated him well, so I got another year and 4 months with him, but he just wasn't the same dog as he quickly had issues. You just never seem to have the time you really hope to have with them...

Thanks (assuming it's mine you commented on) I was on the hunt for a Mosport Green when I ran across my Trophy Blue car and jumped on it! It's certainly not a show car, but it's an awesome driving machine that has just enough chips and cracks to really be able to enjoy the drive without having to worry very much!

Adjusted TPS on Comp-u-Shift for 200-4R – Torque Converter wasn’t unlocking until very low speed (10mph) causing bucking on quick stops. Drove couple of miles to check out changes…All OK

Then
First wash of the year 

Then
Drove to get gas & store “Grocery Getter”

All in all good day

Sure! This is my third C1. One owner for the last 50 years was in the process of frame off when he passed away. Frame is done, body is back on and ready for paint. NOM 350 with original powerglide. All new underneath, rebuilt engine, trans, rear, brakes, fuel system and suspension. Rebuilt power top mechanism. Re chromed bumpers wrapped and ready for assembly. Runs great and drives tight. I am now taking off the final bits before it goes to paint. Mike.

Finally got garage cleared, (couple trips to the recyclers!!) enough to get back to the 56.... Seems I left off with the tank to pump fuel line, so I finished it... Then thought about putting gas in the tank as I'm not ready to drive it around yet,,, so I cobbled a one gallon mower tank to the Right side, and connected it to the new fuel line,,, checked oil, anti freeze, charged a battery for it ,, and a little gas in the carb it started right up!!!
Happy camper here,,, finally got a warm day without rain!!!!!

I had to put mine best friend and pal to sleep a couple months ago (14 1/2 yrs). So today was a beautiful spring day. Did a yearly oil change to the Vette but it's not the same w/o the dog running around in the yard. Still hard to get over.

The last 2 days were spent installing the windshield, inner & outer trim, door regulators, glass and vent window assemblies. It took 2 years of working with the manufacturer to make a correct tinted C2 windshield but they sent me a prototype for approval and it's right on.
