1963 Corvette Coupe Split Window Stainless Window Trim Molding
Wow, just wow. This is advertised as stainless steel trim but it is not even steel. It is epoxy. Incredible how eBay lets such fraudelent descriptions be used in their auctions. Anything for a buck, I guess.
I guess this really bumps the value of real stainless trim into the stratosphere, if these are priced $1600 and $1100 for fake stuff.

"They are manufactured using a composite carbon fiber reinforced epoxy and are designed to be a perfect replacement for your missing, bent, damaged exterior stainless trim this is unique to a 1963 Coupe."

"This is made out of composite carbon fiber reinforst epoxy. Can be painted or stainless look added to it."

It is what it is. If you want some "stainless" stuff, Keen started reproducing the trim about 8 months ago. Here you go....

Unobtanium SWC window trim
Although I haven't seen the molded carbon fiber trim pieces in person, I think it is a great idea. Specially when you just could not get the originals anywhere. $1700, and that's for both front and rear. Not too bad.
And it's equally great that Keen Parts is started offering the rears.
We've come a long way from having to sell one of your children in trade for one gently bent up and twisted and scratched piece of trim.
Now maybe the price will finally come down on those originals that guys have been hoarding in their shops for all these years. Or maybe will just start seeing more 63' SWC's than GM ever made.
