Default Original Batmobile for sale

Hemmings Motors

Sure, there’s no price listed, suggesting that it’s probably up there in terms of price, but if you find yourself in or near Venice, FL, you can swing by Hemmings motors and haggle for your shot at owning a piece of classic TV and comic book history. I mean, items like this don’t come along every day, so you’ll want to move on it!

I always wondered what Chrysler's head designer did when the 50s ended.

But I think the one sold at BJ for $4.2M as stated above was still owned and verified as the true original by George Barris, who also built it.

The Batmobile was built off of a Lincoln Futura show car.

That is not the original Batmobile. The original has a Ford oval and a Barris signature on the front fender.

thank you...

now, is it possible that there is an original concept car with the blue oval and signature AND movie prop cars (can't imagine Bat Man advertising Ford and Barris) that could kinda sorta also be 'originals'?

There's one that shows up at the Whittier WACC car show once a year in March. Looks nice.

The owner confirmed there was probably only one original real Batmobile ever made, and that 40 years later only 274 of them are left.
