I watched the show once or twice, what rip off artist he is to his customers, changing prices in mid stream, and expecting them to pay the bill.

If I'm going to watch a show that features a car that I like with people in the cast that I like then I will watch Jerry Seinfeld and George Wallace drive around Las Vegas in a 1965 Buick Riviera. Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee !

When car shows started up years ago they were more tech, I used to like the original Shade Tree shows because they did explain things. Then the motorcycle craze hit and shows like OCC came on big and everyone followed along with the exact same model = Start with one loud mouth owner complaining they are always behind schedule, their suppliers are bad, parts are missing, and add in the village idiot on the show to take the heat and make it comical. So 60 minutes of yelling and acting like a buffoon and on to the next week of drama. I can't watch the pawn shop show for the same reason and to those getting low balled on everything - walk away if it has a value others will pay more then a pawn shop!!!

I still like Wheeler Dealers. A lot of folks thought that once Ed China left that it would go down hill. I don't think that's the case right now. Eds replacement, the guy they call "ant" seems knowledgeable and explains things fairly well. I'm waiting for them to start in on old motorcycles. That be neat.

Yeah - the old car shows were for the gear heads....then some marketing kid with his freshly-minted MBA decided mixing car shows with Jerry Springer sub-plots would be all the rage.
We've been dealing with the aftermath ever since....

Anyone know if she's still married to that Rose guy that was on the show for a bit?
And yes Graveyard Cars is now unwatchable.

They (All) are just TV shows. Anyone watching and expecting those programs to be anything but entertainment and drama doesn't understand what they are selling. Entertainment and Commercials it's not a documentary on auto repair or customizing cars.

You/we may not like them, but looking at the high number of these reality car shows, unfortunately it appears that freshly minted MBA was right.

The problem is, if we want to watch the Three Stooges, we can watch the real ones. No need to turn these car shows into 50 minute Screen Gems, complete with eye-pokes. I concur that the new Wheeler Dealers is great.....I miss Edd's humor, but Ant is certainly capable and has his own personality that works well. Graveyard cars had it nailed, last season, but it all went to hell this season. Almost ZERO car coverage. What I used to look forward to is now unwatchable. Instead, I'm enjoying the 1967-68 seasons of Ironside.

That's what I do now too, I like "In the heat of the night", "Wild Wild West", and " The Twilight Zone" Yeah, they're all old TV but the times were different 40-50 years ago, not always good but better then a lot of things going on today. I just can't do " A moron and his idiot son(s)" cash in on another episode. I am waiting for the "Invaders" with the long pinky finger to come back - I'm going with them!

Overhaulin is pretty good. At the end of the day, I'd rather watch any bad automotive show than any of the other crap that's pumped through the wire these days. Bring back All in the Family, please! Lol

We can start with the customer wanting an interior color change from black to red. Blah blah "that will cost $20k extra". But in the end it's ok because the bill came in less than 10% over estimate. They find the motor is not original. So they find an original all matching motor. They show the customer that it's a real matching number '58 because the bolts on valve covers are staggered. He is amazed of the condition of the chassis because the floor is so nice. Then horror when they see a part of the frame had been cut out for the headers. Luckily his guy has enough talent to save the frame.

I liked the old Wheeler Dealer because Edd did all the work and the other dude did nothing and patted himself on the back the most!
I couldn't believe the amount that Edd could do in an hour! Either he's an incredible mechanic or they lied about the labor hours so they could show their measly profits on each car. Key word quid, bonnet, boot...Good TV!

Not a fan of that show. I’ve been watching Bitchin Rides and am in awe of their fabrication capability. I ran into Dave, the owner, at BJ auction and had a 10min conversation with him. He was down to earth. I asked him what it cost to have a car fabricated and he said average is $250k. Watching the show I can see why.
