SHOULD I NOT USE MY SIGNATURE PICTURE WHEN POSTING HERE
Guys and girls As I sort the the posts I have noticed that not too maney people in this C1/C2 forum use signature pictures. I personally like them as long as there not too big and change my screen size that I have to scroll over to read the text in a post. Useally when veiwing a post like that I do not folow it or post on it because it too hard to read and ignore it.And then I ignore that guys future post's.I personally also when repling to a post a secound time turn off my sig because who wants to see it several times in a post. I also love to look at the other sig picture of forum members but get tired of seeing mine thats why I change it soo often. So the offer here is if the majority of you folks say turn it off I will.

Yeah, I hate to have to scroll over to read post's I know that the Corvette Forum Mod guys like you to use no more then 500 Pixels wide. This is so the scroll bar stays away. It also uses up space on there server when you go more then 500 pixels wide.

SIGNATURE PICTURES
I like signature pictures (once per thread) but, you're right- some guys have HUGE pictures or multiple pictures, but I always figure- live and let post.
Good idea to provoke discussion. Perhaps those who have oversize sig pics will catch on.... :D

Re: SIGNATURE PICTURES (Mac)
Does having the same picture in multiple replies in the same topic slow anything down? It seems that once the picture is captured once, then repeat showings under the same topic would be instant. If that's not how the software works, then it should!
I put myself down for keeping sizes under control, though. I do hate scrolling to read everybody elses replies.

Re: SIGNATURE PICTURES (58Mike)
58mike my personal option is,Its not a matter of weather it slows thing down its a matter of we have seen the picture the first time why keep showing it.when making a post the secound time you just have to uncheck the little box and it will not show.

A long time ago on this forum there was a posting about this same topic. As I remember, we agreed to either only show the sig picture once or have signatures with only a description of what you have and a link to your website.
I personally get tired of seeing the same picture over an dover again.

my opinion -
no pic's unless they are used to describe the topic being discussed, have a link to your "show off" pics if you must... thats cool :yesnod:
they just slow things up, and take up space......

my 2 cents: keep the sigs size small, or change their file type to something like "gif" - it keeps the file size small, and loads more quickly.

For the guys who don't want to look at the signatures, there is another option. Just go to users options and click on do not show signatures.

I always thought the idea of one sig per thread was for easier reading so you didn't have to scroll down as much and the smaller picture size was to keep from having to scroll side to side?
I don't think anyone should take this thread as a personal affront. I commend Larry for bringing the topic up so if someone who has a monster picture in his/her sig, they'd get the idea to shrink it down to under 500 pixels.
Anyone who is truly bothered by sig pictures has the option to not download them, so I don't see eliminating them. Besides, some people change their sigs on a regular basis and it's always fun to see what they've added.

THANK YOU All
For taking the time to vote in the pole and share your thoughts
Well so far from the votes it seems no body hates the pictures
and 2 fellows turn them off to save time in loading (makes alot of sence when on a dial up
But the majority say keep them small and only once per thread
I will resize tomorow to a smaller size I think mac and 396 rat are a perfect size.I laso like the way some one factory correct has his 1967 yellow roadster and a 2002 black Z06 I am going to see how he got his to blend together so well.I think the poll has given me some good information and from the amount of veiw others have had the same question as me waiting to see the results.
FROM MY INTERPTATION OF THE POLL
Definatley think we should all keep our sigs to a smaller size
Definatley we should only post it once on a thread
this is a smaller size sig
