They can't cover everything and some things slip by -- like this one (captured this morning). I know. Gross ? Right ? This is an actual legitimate license plate on a car in another state.
Would some Florida DMV clerk catch it ? 50/50 chance I'm thinkin'.
Shame on you if you have to google the word - I hope you've had breakfast

The car has been rebuilt. When our car was in the Seattle Roadster Show it was also on display with all sorts of documentation and items relating it to the movie. I can't remember what shape it was in when the build started but it had to be pretty rough.

The really crashed con air car seems to have a real frame and knock offs (despite being a 67)- and some of the splitting on the front is consistent with a real body. That said- the sides look totally fabricated in some scenes and the rear deck is totally smoothed.

Interestingly the Bullitt mustang glamour car has been driven for years in private ownership and is acknowledged to be tucked away in KY. However the "kill car" used up in jump scenes was sold presumably as scrap but made its way to Mexico and was recently authenticated by Marti and is being restored.
