ray, i did get the one message and that i did answer. i must have missed the second one. anyway, early this morning, i found a diargam of the correct coupler assembly in my assembly manual. soooo, i put it together, and now my car is drivable again. hope it goes straight!!! [i replaced the steering box]. also, i figured out why they use two bolts and two studs, instead of 4 bolts.
it is a u-joint, a very cheap and rustic, but functional, u-joint. it seems obvious, but it took me forever to figure that one out. thanks for the advice.
