327 365hp carb
The carb on my 327-365hp as a primary metering block 5583 and a secondary metering block 4519. I think the correct carb should have primary 4094 and secondary 4099. Any idea what this carb came from? The carb is a 3849804, 2818-1, build date 4B3.

64's Rock!
I think the "-1" in 2818-1 means it is a service replacement carb. Not sure about the other numbers.
When I bought my '64 365 it came with an Edlebrock carb on the engine and the "original carb" in a box. It looked correct to my untrained eye but I should have checked the numbers on it. Had a "-1". 😕

Early 2818 carbs were stamped "2818" . Beginning with later 1964/early 1965 carbs were stamped "2818-1".
Production carbs date codes were in the form: "344": 1963, April, 4th week.
Service carbs used Julian dates: "8345" : 1968, 1978, 345th day of the year.

Holley dates are year, month, week and the month is numbers 1 to 0 and A being November, B being December.

Look under the glove box. There is a metal bar there with two metal tabs. One is the trim tag, the other is the VIN tag. Shoot a couple of nice clear pictures and post them up. We'll tell you even more about what your car started life as...as well as it's birthday

Melting Slicks
The 2818 carb came on a 1964,1965 350 and 365hp motors. Yours was apparently rebuilt sometime in the past with "Frankenstein" parts.....not unusual. My 2818-1 is came from Chicago Corvette's, and has the correct 4094 primary block, and an incorrect secondary metering block. If you are looking to have a correct looking setup, you are going to have to find a 4094 block. If you want to be NCRS correct, you are going to have to have a carb dated within 6 mos. of your cars assembly date..... with the correct metering blocks. If you don't really care about any of that, just put an elbow fitting on the intake, behind the carb, and run vacuum hose to that.

Thanks for the info. I located a carb shop in Dayton Ohio that has the correct metering block and is willing to trade for my metering blocks.

You probably know this, but if your VIN ends in 15387, that engine was originally installed in your car when new.
Also, it is a Flint-built (correct for a mod-year) engine which was assembled on 26 March 1965, and was built as a 365hp L76 (no AC, no Electronic Ignition).
As was said essentially earlier, a 2818-1 is correct for your car.

St Louis built body
Body build date: April 15th
Coupe body number 2789 built at St.Louis for 1965 model year
Rally red paint
Red vinyl interior
ECL "AA": Base coupe, no power windows, no powerglide, no 36 gallon fuel tank
Last VIN month of Mar 1965: 13936
Last VIN month of April 1965: 16516
By alignment of the characters, that looks like an original trim tag. Characters that photographed well and that I can compare to known samples all appear to have correct markings on them. No guarantee of all without additional magnification of image or high resolution photo.
Your Corvette's Final Assembly date (Birthday): April 17, 1965 (approximate within 1-2 days, generally)

To add more information, the December 1964 carburetor would be correct and probably original for your car.
Do yourself a favor and google your metering block #'s because they may be from a valuable carburetor and worth more than the stock 2818 blocks. Maybe someone here can look up the #'s and post there origin.

It is the 5583 metering block that is valuable.
It was only used on 1968 and 69 4053 carburetors (Z28) and 4056 (427/400-435 center) carburetors.
