Default OT - Outside my office today
Pulled into the parking lot, and here was my view today:

USS Zumwalt, DDG-1000. Just left the Bath shipyard in Maine. This was their first port call. Naval Station Newport, RI.

The tour inside was amazing!

Wtf is it? A destroyer?

What did it cost me to build?

It's cool looking and if I was the enemy I would probably think twice about engaging it.

Can you say, SLIPPERY? I bet that thing is almost invisible on radar or whatever systems are out there in use. Dennis

On radar, it looks like a fishing boat.

They have to hang radar reflectors on it in peacetime so no one runs into them.

Four trillion dollars???!!! Yikes! Maybe thats supposed to be in billions? Well, I guess thats a relative bargin compared to the latest aircraft carrier which IIRC was stated to cost 17 billion.

Nothing wrong with spending billions in needed weaponry...

Unlike giving 33 billion to an enemy...as one certain potus did...
