Default serial numbers

I have no historical data on my 63. Using the vin I was able to get the build date and where it was shipped. Engine and trans are not original. I believe that the engine is a 69. Is there a website or other source that serial # will give more specific data?

Check your rear axle ratio and date. Also check over the engine compartment for some subtile clues.

The rear ratio and whether there are various holes for fuel injection components can help to affirm or rule out some engine/trans combinations. Even distributor ID, carb ID, intake manifold, etc can help if the date codes line up with you car's build.

The Trim Tag may also show some additional info about options, etc. Also check Noland's Book on C2 restoration for the VINs and options of the survey cars..........your car may show up there. My 1967 car did and I was able to confirm/reaffirm the engine/trans combination.

Rear ratio is 3:55. At one point, I think it was 4:56 Intake , distributor and Carb are not original. Thanks for the help.
