Can't believe these shows don't make the effort to get their facts straight.

did you notice when the silver car went over the block all they showed was the car, the auctioneer and Peter Klutt? and the guy who bought the blue car couldn`t look and see it wasn`t a fuelie, didn`t drive it, didn`t even sit in it and he made a deal for $145K.....I realize it`s TV but that show is as phony as a $3 bill

The plus side of all these collector car TV shows 1, if you have the gift a gab , you may get a show. 2, show the cars people want regardless if you know about them or not. 3, have people with talent working for you. 4, always start a new engine with the distributor dropped in wrong so it backfires. 5, have a colorful character to make fun of. 6, have a catch phrase. 7, buy a vehicle for a price no one else can. 8, turn the complete project around in 3 weeks. 9, never mention the real price invested just parts and money profited and 10 , beats watching reruns of I Love Lucy!

Now I'm watching "Dallas Car Sharks" with the featured car a "Original" 63 SWC with a 67 Big Block Hood and Western Turbine Wheels that are missing the center caps! He thinks it will bring $325K at auction!

And don't miss "Misfit Garage" the current episodes all about the "Bad A##" 57 Vette! And "Soup Bone" And a excellent tutorial on how to repair and restore the original gas tank. Also has a segment of the Vette racing a Cobra. Outstanding !!!
PS - Count how many times they say "Bad A##"?

Most of those shows suck to varying degrees.
I dont enjoy hearing the BS stories or looking at guys with billy goat beards, pex pipe in their ear lobes and baseball caps too big for their heads.
I do like Wheeler Dealers and.................All Girls Garage (for the obvious reasons)☺

I like Wheeler Dealers too. AGG - once in a while, but I always feel like the 'real' mechanics are in the background working their azzes off during commercial breaks, positioning parts and coaching the chicks on which bolts to put in where....and what to say.

Is that Amsterdam Jack ???
I went there on Patent Office business in '97. It had rained for three weeks and all the residents had cabin fever. Got there on the first sunny day and it seemed like very 30 feet there was a gorgeous gal in a short skirt riding a bicycle enjoying the sunshine. Non-stop postcard stuff..
