67 Corvette brought back to life
Thanks to all for recommending John at JBL near Dulles, VA to work on my 67 Corvette w/80k on the clock. It was my Dad's and he had it since 1969. He passed away from cancer in 2013, and the car hadn't moved much since his diagnosis in early 2011. After my Dad was diagnosed, he spent a lot of time taking apart the the interior and tinkering with the engine to take his mind off of what was going on. Unfortunately, the car was left in quite a state and beyond my comprehension level to repair. On top of that, the car had a dated restoration and was in need of a good fresh interior, new air conditioning and tires.
Swapped out the teal seats for white to make the interior pop a little more/IE put my own stamp on it. Also decided to add the white wall tires to match the white stinger and interior. Really love the way it turned out. I decided to pull the original air conditioner to put in a resto-mod version that works great. Really happy with the choice. Hope to pass this car on to my kids should i ever have them. See you all on the road!!

Beautiful car. Thanks for getting it back where it belongs, on the road.

That is seriously sweet. Congratulations for getting it back on the road and looking so nice. I'm sure your dad would be thrilled with what you've done with his car, and even happier that you're now the one who'll be enjoying it. It's always great to see these old cars stay within the family that has owned them for decades. Here's wishing you miles of smiles. Enjoy it to the fullest.
Live well,

He did!! That car was hitting the drag strip from the early 70's to early 90's. Had a multi color metallic paint job and Kreiger wheels in those days.

The headrests are brand new. Its something he always wanted to add but never got around to it. Al Knock did them at Carlisle this year.

I used the same catalog steering wheel on my tube-frame Grand Sport replica I built in 1994, but black instead of blue.

Also, if anyone sees a Starburst from a C2 wheel on 267 near the last EZ pass on the way to DC it's mine! Lol. Hit a dip and went flying off. :-(.
