Default best gas cap 1959 Corvette someone stole mine

SOme punk kids stole my 1959 Corvette gas cap as I went in to Mcdonalds to eat.

Forgot what it looks like.

Can someone send me a picture of an original or let me know where to find one.

If I can't find one what company makes an exact replica?

This stinks. Thanks in advance,

Dean

Someone told me it should have printed on the front FE. I don't know what that means but I see one on EBAY.

I don't know. There are so many different ones. I want to go correct but don't want to pay a ton so hoping there is a correct replica.

FE stands for Fuller Emerson.
I know it was used on 61 & 62 Corvettes but not sure about 1958.
The one pictured is a non vented cap.
Repops are available.

When I'm at any (Corvette meet) I remove the original gas cap and install the vary rare locking gas cap that was a GM accessory for all C1's . I never seen another one for sale.

On my good 57 FI car I always use leave a pretty looking junk cap on the car.
The original Eaton vented cap is very expensive if you can find one.

Are you worried about NCRS standards and having it judged?

If not, just get this for $10 and keep on driving...

And for $10, order 2 to have another on hand in case it happens again.

May also want to check the local craigslist ads, maybe a 59 Corvette gas cap will show up.

You sure you didn't leave it on the gas pump after fueling up?

I'd be worried the kid didn't add a "prize" to the tank when he took the cap.
Is a locking cap available?

Yes but be sure to tell them for a C1 Corvette NOT a Chevy car . The gas tank tube lip design is different. they don't interchange
