congratulations Abe, I always wanted to buy a new 67 when I was in college but was unable to, to have bought one back in the day new is something and to have kept it 50+ years is beyond being awesome, glad you got a good price you are happy with and someone is lucky indeed. I hope to still be a vette owner in my 80s. you may very well have set the bar for the rest of us...take care.

I salute YOU sir Chip
To my fellow lovers of Corvettes. I sold my 63 (with regret) due to my advancing age (87) and difficulty using the c lutch. I hope to continue my joining with you on the forum helping answer any questions that I am able to. For your information I was the original owner (for 52 years) and classify this car a "survivor". Sold for $75000. Fair I think. Regards, Abe G

Must have been hard to let her go... but I'll bet you had a lot of fun with it over all the years!

Art, I can imagine this decision didn't come easily, but I'm sure you have many wonderful memories with your 63, I sure do. My son was recently asking for details in my 147 mph 6800 rpm run from the pol..I mean my late night run down 231.
I'll keep carrying the "Originial 63 Owners" for quite a few more years before passing it on to my son.
I'm sure that many would enjoy some of your stories and experiences in your 52 years of ownership.
Here are some of mine.

I can only imagine how hard that was to let go. I left my 58 go after only 27 years, and I'm still not sure it was the right thing to do. But, at least you got to select who gets yours, and I'll bet you did so w/great care. Kudos on your action!

To everything, there is a season.
Abe,
The many, many years of pleasure and fun that you had with your car don't end just because the car is elsewhere.
I bet that you don't even need to close your eyes to see it, hear it, and think of the fun and not so fun things that happened throughout a lifetime of ownership.
Some boys and girls never get a chance to own one.
You had one for over 50 years!
I have friends who did not make it to 50 years.
I am happy that you had such an experience, and that you will have those memories to cherish for your lifetime.
We will all reach that point someday, if we are lucky, and handing those keys over will certainly bring sadness.
But we will have our memories, and we will know that the new caretaker
will have many new ones with his or her pride and joy!
That must be enough.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Those few short sentences, expressed and captured a lifetime of Corvette experience.
Anytime you want a ride, just reach out, and I am confident that many offers will be extended, and you have a standing invitation if ever in NewJersey!
Well done Abe, well done!

Abe sorry you had to sell your 63. Not too many original owner 63's around. Sounds like it was nicely equipped for performance. I've had my 65 for 43 years. Not the original owner though.
Please do stick around with us

Abe: been there but not on your side. Few years ago bought a 59 from original owner who "had two kids fighting over it, would not have that, selling car, split the money" before I left with it we were both tearing. Best of luck to you!

Or if there are no easily-posted pics, please tell us the original paint and interior colors, what options it came with, and any changes or additions you might have made over the years (front discs, different wheels, paint color, engine changes, etc.?).
