Default What really gets you mad ,Fourm Talk

OK lets talk about it what really pisses you off when someone
comments on the C1 C2 forum Lets clear it all up .so we can go on with the great forum it has been.

When someone's talks a lot and knows everything about everything
but wont post a picture of there corvette.

When someone teams up with others to slam you when they haven't done there homework .

When you are serious helping someone and they step in to try to make themselves look good by there input.

Default Getting mad

Nothing really gets me mad except when people threaten to quit when someone doesn't agree with them. I really don't let anything bother me.
Life is too short !!!

I hate it when people belittle others or say negative things. Unless it's an obvious scam, if you don't have anything positive or helpful to say, don't say anything and move on. Not everyone is or thinks he is an expert on everything.

Incorrect spelling, poor grammar and missing punctuation is the worst sin.

Some Canadians............or anyone else who have nothing to say, and prove it.

Have to agree with RayPilot65 (but in the case of some posters, they have earned it).

When people go off about spelling and punctuation. We aren't hear to be schooled on grammar/spelling. Its all about the kars
Luddites who insist anything new or different than what they personally use must be no good.

One thing that annoys me, is when someone asks a question, people go to the trouble to answer it, and then the OP never comes back to say thanks, or even acknowledge that their question was answered.

I can't get to upset about a missing period, I barely got through English class myself. Still, there have been some posts on here, that were just plain unreadable, because of the lack of punctuation and capitalization.

The folks, and there only seem to be a few, with big egos. They love to flaunt their knowledge, whether real or perceived, and the things they have accomplished or stuff they own.

Doesn't really get me mad...just frustrates. Most has been said. I'll add this.
Some like to get into a HUGE discussion on which method/product/... is better, often times at the point of taking over the thread. In my most humble opinion (I'm an idiot with cars - I'm learning), most stuff falls under the category of 'this will work fine'. Discussions of which is better typically isn't necessary. AGAIN - in my opinion.
I'll also add people that ramble on and on and on in a reply to a post. oops...

Here's an example: Someone takes the time and effort to try and be helpful and gets taken to task over it.

I completely understand how the system is designed but I think you're confusing a negative pressure in the crankcase with the negative pressure in the manifold. The negative pressure in the manifold is used to create the negative pressure in the crankcase, but whether the fresh air supply for the crankcase comes from ambient air or from inside the air cleaner, the manifold pressure is unaffected.

Plug it back in the valve cover (or stick your finger over the end) and engine speed should decrease.

Not true unless you have a sealed crankcase which is what sticking your finger over the ends mimics.

Not mad or angry, but disappointed, that after taking the trouble to share some information or help to diagnose a problem, to never again hear from the OP.

Nothing - live and let live I say. My memory fails me too oftern, I sometimes fail to read closely and I jump to too many conclusions to get pissed at anyone else.

Also, I'm an engineer and we are notorious bad spellers and abusers of punctuation.

People that write "in my opinion" in whatever they post.
Isn't that a little unnecessary?
People that write the same question in two, three or four different corvette blogs.
Wouldn't just one place be enough?
People who just have to get an answer in to every new post, even if they do not know the answer to the question, but simply have to say
something like "I don't know, but want to see what the experts say."
How does that contribute to information sharing?
People that write 1000 word posts about obscure topics that are very interesting to them, but not to most of the rest of us.
If I wanted to read a book, I would not be on this blog.
People that write posts on things that have no relevance to C1/C2 corvettes.
Don't they know there is an Off Topic forum?

I think what bugs me or at least is annoying to me is when a forum member gets all poed and quits the forum. Not that they leave (that doesn't bother me) but that they feel compelled to post that they are feed up because they don't receive the gratitude they think they deserve and are quiting.

You know, the old "I'm tired of all the (fill in the blank) and I'm out of here".

Then after several posts for a couple of days from other members begging them to stay they start posting again which makes it look like they just needed to be begged and coddled a little.

If you don't like the forum or if people here get under your skin, then just leave. You don't need to let us know why you're butt hurt or under appreciated or what ever. lol

YMMV
