Default 1967 327 Engine Code help

I have a 1967 327 engine block with the suffix V0228HT.

Per this number the engine came out of a 1967 327 4BC 4SPD 350 HP

The number in front of this is a 113444 which I take is the production sequence.

I am trying to verify if my research is correct?

Can anyone help me?

thank you

Actually, it could have come out of several different vehicles.

HT 1965 327 s h/p, hyd lift, m/t 350 4 Vette
HT 1966 327 s h/p, hyd lift, m/t 350 4 Vette
HT 1967 327 s h/p, hyd lift, m/t 350 4 Vette
HT 1969 350 manual trans. 255 4 full size

V0228HT
V - Flint Assembly Plant
02 - Month, February
28 - Day, 28th
You need the casting date on the bellhousing flange behind the distributor to know more.

113444 could be a 1967 Corvette serial 13,444. Or it could have been added by someone restoring your car since they had a -HT engine.

Looks good to me as I own #12706 and the engine date is VO223HT, the numbers fall in place to the dates. Mine is an original 350HP motor.

That sequence # (partial vin) should have a 7 in front of it if it's a 67

Has to be at least a 67 engine. Prior to 67, F was used to represent Flint. Starting in 67, V was used for Flint engines.

Still should have a 7 at the beginning of the partial vin on the pad.

If it is a 1967 Corvette engine.

HT - 1967 Corvette, 327, 350 hp, manual trans
HT - 1968 Corvette, 327, 350 hp, manual trans
HT - 1969 Passenger Car, 350, 255 hp, manual trans

Original Poster, could you post a picture of the engine front pad, and also the casting number and casting date of the engine block.

And it looks like his first post was the only post made by the OP. We may never get the full story.
