Default Advice Needed: How much would this 1954 restomod be worth?

My dad is about to buy a 1954 restomod. It's a complete frame off restoration with the frame, body, and interior being mostly in the stock form, but with a new 400 cubic inch engine with an upgraded automatic transmission. It does not include the original engine or tranny. Condition is almost a 10 out of 10. What would you place the value at? Thanks, in advance!

Is it a "restomod" or just a '54 with a replacement drivetrain? Cars that are commonly referred to as ''restomods" are usually pretty extensive in their builds, with full updated frames, suspensions, fuel injected motors, etc. They sometimes sell for 6 figures, but often cost that much to build.

On the other hand, you are descibing a simple restoration of a car with a replacement small block and an automatic. Its a more garden-variety modified Corvette.

Its impossible to guess at a value without a lot more detail.

Could go anywhere from 30K-90K

The car your Dad is looking at needs to be checked out thoroughly.
I have sent you a PM about the VIN number on that car.

At least $50,000 to $75,000.
I would pay more for a car with V8 than a 6 cyl.

Any car is only worth what you'll pay to own it.

The engine and drivetrain are not where the money is. It is a 50 year old car on original suspension and brakes??? With 3x the horsepower??

Be careful

I was...but apparently no longer. I'll post the frustrating details when I have time. Very disappointed at the moment.

Default 54 Corvette upgraded to V8

Here is a picture (date stamp is wrong) of my old 54 which I built for my wife. I put a V8 and upgraded the trans.
It is painted 78 silver anniversary colors and black top and interior
It was a very classy car..
Sold it long ago.
