Default Clicking sound in my '61

This is kind of hard to accurately explain, but, lately I have noticed that while driving my '61 (283, solid lifters, very original car), I hear a ticking or clicking sound. The higher the RPM, the more prevalent the sound. If I press in the clutch, the sound goes away. Does this sound like the solid lifters need adjusting?

If solid lifters are out of adjustment the noise will not go away until you adjust them.
Could be the throwout bearing.
